Dr. Karen Becerra and KOGO interviewer, Maryilyn Hyder discuss the level of vulnerability seniors are undergoing during the COVID-19 pandemic and what the Gary and Mary West Senior Dental Center is doing to address the needs of the seniors in the San Diego community. The Senior Dental Center is offering Teledentistry Services to their patients and delivering Home Care/Oral Hygiene Kits to their homes to help them maintain their oral and overall health.
Dr. Karen Becerra (on new Teledentistry Services): “We have our patients call, they can send us pictures and we send them instructions on what we are going to need for that appointment so that we can understand what is the concern that they have.”
